Belarus continues to preserve and enhance its natural resources, taking care of the purity and beauty of its unique natural territories. One of the most striking examples of such concern was the joint environmental project of the youth of the organizations of the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus, aimed at improving the territory of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve.
Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve is one of the oldest and most valuable natural corners of the country, protected by UNESCO and repeatedly noted for the richness and uniqueness of the local flora and fauna. Taking care of the preservation of this unique natural site requires constant efforts to improve, monitor and educate the environment.
As part of the events of the Year of Landscaping, as well as in order to promote the exchange of professional experience, environmental education and the development of civic responsibility, the youth of the organizations of the Office of the President of Belarus united to carry out a large-scale campaign to improve the territory of the reserve. More than fifty young people took part in the action, ready to contribute to the protection of nature.
Ekaterina Valentyukevich, Marketing Specialist of the Marketing Department of the state enterprise “Publishing House “Belarusian House of Press”: “It is very important to preserve nature for future generations. I am glad that I was able to participate in such a useful and meaningful event. I feel proud that I have contributed to the preservation of our nature.”
The activities of young people in the Berezinsky Nature Reserve show a high level of civic responsibility, active citizenship and love of nature. The leaders note that such initiatives help young people acquire new skills, better understand the importance of environmental protection and become an example for the whole country.
Anton Paveliev, Head of the Ideological Work Sector of the State Enterprise Belarusian House of Press Publishing House, Chairman of the Youth Council of the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus: “We always strive to involve young people in environmental initiatives, because we are the present and the future of our country. Our energy and desire to do good is the key to the successful conservation of natural resources.”
The Youth Council of the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus plans to continue such initiatives, attract new participants and expand the scale of environmental projects. In the future, it is planned to conduct environmental lessons among colleagues in Case Management organizations.
The youth of the Case Management organizations carried out a number of important works, thereby not only demonstrating an example of active civic responsibility, but also making an invaluable contribution to the preservation of the country’s natural resources. The improvement of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve is a contribution to the future of Belarus, the value of which is the richness and uniqueness of our nature.
In gratitude for their contribution to the improvement of the territory, an educational tour of the reserve was conducted for the participants of the event, during which the young guys learned more about the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve, as the only territory of the highest rank in Belarus that preserves unique natural complexes of forests and swamps, as well as as a biodiversity center supporting rare species of birds and animals, including “the European five” large mammals. The reserve plays a key role in ecosystem monitoring, scientific research and environmental education, contributing to the conservation of nature and sustainable development of the region, including through the development of ecotourism.
