The National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus in its very first line gives an understanding of who we are: ”We Belarusians are peaceful people…“. These concise and profound words reflect the soul, cultural and mental code of our people.

For comparison, let us recall the first verse of the anthem of the Republic of Poland: ”Poland has not yet perished, if we are alive. Everything that was taken away by the enemy’s force, we will return with a saber…“.
Peace is the foundation of life, development and prosperity. Therefore, let’s take a closer look at what it consists of, what determines which components of this important concept you need to pay attention to.
”We are all different. Sometimes they are completely different. But we are a united Belarusian people. By right of the land where we live together now and where our children will live. We’re doing everything, aren’t we? A teacher, a doctor, an engineer, or a scientist – each of us puts a piece of ourselves into the overall result. With selfless work, we are building a bright future for an independent and sovereign Belarus, and we are doing everything to make it even more beautiful and comfortable. Maybe it’s a little pretentious, but it’s also true!
The modern world is not simple. And the various steps to maintain it in many areas, which are highlighted in the speech today, are not at all simple.
However, only peace provides an opportunity to achieve prosperity and well-being for our state and all countries without exception. The example of our peaceful, peace-loving country, which always calls for peace, should be heard by everyone from each of us living in our beloved Belarus to the world community.
