On October 29, on the Day of the Komsomol’s Birth, the Youth Forum of Employees of the Presidential Administration’s Organizations “Youth and the Future” was held in Minsk at the Department for Humanitarian Activities. The meeting brought together young men and women working at the Belarusian House of Printing, the Minsk Printing House branch, the Department for Humanitarian Activities, the Vostochny Trading House, the Planeta Children’s Health Camp, and the Ozerco-Logistics Trade and Logistics Center.
The forum is local in nature and is a prelude to a larger meeting that will take place in December, so the participants’ task is to develop ideas and proposals for discussion at the national level.
The forum began with a ceremony of laying flowers at the Tank-Liberator monument. The participants honored the memory of those who died during the Great Patriotic War with a minute of silence.

Afterward, the working youth went to the National Youth House, where they were shown and told about the history of the Komsomol and the youth movement in Belarus.

The key event of the meeting was the Open Mic dialogue. The speakers were Alexander Lukyanov, a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee, and Vadim Gigin, a member of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly and General Director of the National Library. They discussed a wide range of issues with the participants, including the increasing age of young people, demographic security, the role of young people in the country’s socio-economic development, and the role of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union in educating the younger generation. They also discussed the importance of supporting and developing youth initiatives, including the participation of young people in public life, the development of leadership and professional skills, and the opportunities for implementing projects with government support.

Anton Pavelyev, Head of the Ideological Work Sector and Chairman of the Youth Council of the Office of the President of Belarus, emphasized that young people are the key to the country’s future, and it is important to actively involve them in shaping the social and political landscape.

During the forum, it was agreed that it is necessary to further develop such platforms for sharing experience and strengthening civic engagement among the younger generation. The event was another confirmation that young people are actively involved in shaping the country’s future and are of great importance for its development.
