THE ROUND TABLE “OUR CONSTITUTION” WAS HELD AT THE BELARUSIAN PRESS HOUSE

On the eve of the referendum, a round table was held on February 17 on the basis of the state enterprise “Publishing House “Belarusian House of Printing” on the issues of amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus.

Natalya Leonidovna Kolpakova, deputy prosecutor of the Sovetsky district of Minsk, took part in the event, who told those present about the innovations in the basic law, revealed the significance of the changes from a legal point of view, and noted the importance for the state of the upcoming referendum as an opportunity for the participation of every citizen of the country in decision-making on the most important issues of state and public life.

During the discussion, employees of the Belarusian Press House expressed their opinions on the proposed amendments and asked questions. In particular, topics were raised on the protection of personal data, as well as global experience of punishment for non-participation in the election process.

At the end of the event, the participants agreed that it was impossible to remain indifferent, everyone should come to the referendum on February 27 and fulfill their civic duty, and if it is impossible to do this on the main day, the legislation provides for early voting, which will begin on February 22.
