The seminar brought together public labor protection inspectors from the Press House. Dmitry Lapitsky, Chief Technical Labor Inspector of the Belarusian Trade Union of Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism Workers, took part in the seminar. During the training, the main functions, goals, and tasks of public labor protection inspectors of primary trade union organizations were considered. The analysis of occupational injuries in Minsk and the country as a whole is carried out, typical violations of labor protection legislation during a special investigation are considered. In addition, the issues of innovations in the labor legislation of 2024, suspension from work, disciplinary penalties, guarantees for young professionals and other relevant issues were highlighted.
This seminar was very instructive for everyone present. Someone left with new knowledge, and someone refreshed their knowledge in the field of occupational safety and health and the implementation of public control over its observance. Its purpose was to convey to the public labor protection inspectors the important thing: that the main tasks of the public labor protection inspector are to identify and prevent violations of labor protection requirements, assess the state of workers’ working conditions, the safety of production processes, equipment, fixtures, tools, raw materials, the effectiveness of the use of personal protective equipment, and the fulfillment by employees of their duties. occupational health and safety duties, taking measures to eliminate identified deficiencies.
Dmitry Mikhailovich drew attention to the quality of labor protection monitoring by public labor protection inspectors, as well as the implementation of daily, monthly and quarterly monitoring of employees’ compliance with labor protection requirements in the organization, reflecting the violations identified in the journal of labor protection compliance, acts.
In total, more than 20 public inspectors of the enterprise for labor protection were trained during the seminar.
