Last weekend, the staff of the Belarusian House of Printing embarked on an interesting and eventful trip to Moscow, the capital of Russia, to not only take a break from everyday tasks and affairs, spending three days filled with walks, excursions and new discoveries, but also a unique chance to learn more about its culture and history, spend time in a friendly and creative atmosphere. Along the way, the participants exchanged expectations about the trip, shared plans and moods for the upcoming vacation.

The first stop is the Alexander Garden, a park and walking area founded in the center of Moscow on the initiative of Emperor Alexander I, in 1821. The luxurious architectural complex dedicated to Russia’s victory in the war of 1812 is located on the site of the old Neglinka riverbed and part of its right bank. At the very beginning of the garden there is the grave of the Unknown Soldier, where the participants of the tour paid tribute to the memory of the heroes.

After a walk through the historical garden, the team headed to the legendary Red Square. Here, the staff was able to enjoy the view of the Kremlin and hear interesting stories from the guide about the importance of this place in the history of Russia. St. Basil’s Cathedral, with its fabulous domes and unique architecture, was particularly admired.

In the afternoon, the participants went to Vorobyovy Gory, one of the most picturesque places in Moscow. From the observation deck, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city from a height where you can see Moscow City, the Kremlin and other iconic structures. This moment left a lot of vivid impressions and a good mood.

The next item on the program was a walk along the Moskva River on a river tram. The participants flew along the embankments, enjoying the view of the Kremlin, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Moscow State Variety Theater, the building of the former confectionery factory Krasny Oktyabr and much more. The fresh air, panoramic views and pleasant company made this part of the tour especially memorable.

The second day of the excursion began with a visit to the Moscow City business and residential complex. The group toured the skyscrapers, admired the architecture and took pictures against the background of the symbol of modern Moscow. This place impresses with its scale and innovative solutions, a place where the rhythm of the metropolis is felt.

The day continued with a tour of VDNKH, the famous exhibition complex, a symbol of the Soviet period and modernity. Here, the participants strolled through the park, looked at and visited the pavilions. Unfortunately, the famous fountains were not working, but this did not affect the mood in any way, as one of the highlights was a visit to the Museum of Cosmonautics, one of the largest museums of its kind in the world. Here, the participants of the excursion were able to plunge into the history of space exploration, see unique spacecraft, rocket models, spacesuits, and also learn about the great Russian cosmonauts. The exhibition impresses with the scale and depth of technical achievements, inspiring new ideas and dreams about space.

In the evening, the tourists visited Zaryadye Park, a modern urban area with panoramic views of the Moskva River and the Kremlin. A walk here was a great end to the day, giving a feeling of lightness and inspiration.

On Sunday morning, the staff visited the Izmailovo Kremlin, a miniature replica of medieval fortresses, where the atmosphere of ancient Russia is recreated.

At the end of an eventful day, visit the museum and temple complex of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, impressive for its architecture and spiritual atmosphere, a place where you can learn about the history of army victories, stroll through the green alleys and feel the spirit of national unity and pride. A special place in the heart and mind of the team was left by a visit to the Memorial Road museum complex, where everyone walked their 1,418 steps along the Memory Road. The museum itself is high-tech. It immerses you in the situation of significant stages of the war – the defense of the Brest Fortress, Moscow, Stalingrad, the Icy Road of Life to besieged Leningrad, etc. In total, the museum has 35 halls, 26 of which are immersive with an immersive effect. The museum holds information about 36 million participants in the war. Everyone can find their relative who fought for their homeland. A special part of the museum is 174 depository complexes with 15,000 shell casings. They contain earth brought from the burial sites of soldiers from 44 countries of the world.

In the evening, the team returned to Minsk, satisfied and energized for work. The trip showed how important it is for the team not only to develop professionally, but also to communicate in an informal setting. This event strengthened the team spirit, allowed employees to get to know each other better and get a boost of motivation. The Belarusian House of Press, together with the trade Union Committee, plans to continue organizing such tours and corporate events, as they contribute to creating a comfortable and productive working atmosphere.
