On October 24-25, 2024, the final stage of the youth forum of employees of the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus “Youth and the Future” took place on the basis of the GPU “Pripyatsky National Park”. In total, more than 3,000 young employees of the organizations of the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus took part in the regional forums. The final stage brought together more than 200 young active employees of the organizations of the system from different regions of the country and fields of activity, among its participants and four representatives of the Press House:
An introductory tour of the Pripyatsky National Park was the start of a busy two-day program of the forum. Many of its participants came here for the first time, so for them, participation in the youth forum was a unique opportunity to visit such an iconic place of Belarusian nature as Pripyat Polesie.
The Pripyatsky National Park is a place where not only the natural, but also the ethnocultural heritage of Polesie is concentrated. A place where guides brilliantly acquaint guests and visitors with the biological diversity of the Pripyat Polesie, history, culture, crafts and life of the Poleshukes. It is not for nothing that the Pripyatsky National Park is the central venue of the famous Call of Polesie festival. The hallmark of the national park is also the demonstration site “Museum of Nature” (Safari Park) – a unique journey –observing the wildlife of Polesie.
Therefore, it was very interesting for the participants of the youth forum to visit this unique place and discover a lot of useful and interesting information.
The first day of the youth forum ended in the Petrikovsky district House of Culture, where a mobile exposition of the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, an exhibition of author’s innovative projects from the participants of the “100 ideas for Belarus” of the Gomel region was launched for young people. Further, all those present at the Marathon of Unity campaign were greeted by the Managing Director of the President of Belarus Yuri Nazarov and invited speakers, including Alexander Veremeev, Chairman of the Petrikovsky district Executive Committee; Pavel Alexo, Secretary of the central committee of the NGO “BRSM”; Andrey Belyakov, Head of the Center for Work with the Population and the Electoral Process of the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus. A special feature of the current forum were creative performances from professional Belarusian pop artists and youth organizations and enterprises of the Presidential Administration.
The year 2024 is a landmark year for the Republic of Belarus and the Presidential Administration, among others. This is the year of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, which is a symbol of the unity and devotion of the Belarusian people to the memory of the ancestors who conquered this peaceful life for us 80 years ago.
In addition, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Institute of the Presidency. This is a landmark in the modern history of Belarus, which has embarked on the path of sovereignty and building an independent and prosperous country. Just a month after the first presidential elections in the history of sovereign Belarus, on August 4, 1994, the Office of Presidential Affairs was established. Over 30 years of history, having gone from a small unit that was engaged in the logistical support of the activities of the Head of State and the highest state authorities, to a public administration body, which is responsible for more than 60 organizations that today provide solutions to a wide range of tasks.
The morning of the second day of the forum began quite unusually for many of its participants. After breakfast, everyone went to restore the forest areas of the Pripyatsky National Park damaged by the summer hurricane. The youth, together with the leadership of the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus, planted about 35 thousand seedlings of crops such as pine and birch on an area of 5.5 hectares, thereby responding to the call and supporting the republican action “Give the forest a new life”. At the end of the youth labor action, Yuri Nazarov, Managing Director of the President of the Republic of Belarus, together with Anton Kraevsky, Deputy Managing Director of the President and Anton Paveliev, head of the personnel department of the state enterprise “Publishing House “Belarusian House of Printing”, he is also the chairman of the Youth Council, a commemorative plaque was installed by the Managers.
The participants of the youth forum expressed their desire to return to this place in a few years with their friends, relatives, and family to see and enjoy the results of their work.
On this glorious note of work, the youth forum of the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus was completed. Its participants went to their workplaces to share their impressions with colleagues and charge each other for new labor exploits.
