On May 5, the labor collective of the Belarusian House of Printing celebrated its professional holiday – Press Day. The solemn meeting on the eve of the holy date for everyone – May 9th is very significant. This year, the country celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The May holidays are connected by a common legacy – the legacy of information and the legacy of our Great Victory. These days remind us of the glorious labor and courageous traditions of our people, inspire the younger generations to create, achieve good deeds and achievements! It is necessary to remember at what price the Victory was won, not to forget those who gave their lives for the Motherland, who gave the opportunity to live, work, and raise children to millions of people on earth. In the Year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, the participants of the event honored the memory of the victims with a minute of silence. Today, it is important to pass on the historical truth about the war from generation to generation. So, one of the most important traditions of the enterprise is laying flowers to the monument of fallen soldiers-polygraphists during the Great Patriotic War, located on the territory. As always, the right to lay flowers at the monument is given to the younger generation of the company’s polygraph specialists. This event was an important milestone for all employees of the company.
During the event, the company’s management and invited guests congratulated the staff and veterans of the company on the holiday, noting the importance of their work, high professionalism, contribution to the development of the printing industry in the country, as well as support and implementation of socially significant projects and initiatives. The achievements over the past year were announced, as well as plans for the future were outlined.
An award ceremony for the best employees was held as part of the celebration. Employees who showed outstanding results in their work received awards from both the enterprise and the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus, and the administration of the Sovetsky District of Minsk. The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Professional Union of Workers of Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism. The company’s workforce was awarded a Diploma from the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus, which was a pleasant surprise for everyone. There are more than 60 awards in total. For the first time this year, employees who were awarded the honorary title of “Employee of the Year” were honored. This was a pleasant incentive for the entire team and emphasized the importance of professionalism and dedication.
An important part of the celebration was the attention to the history of the company. Thus, an exhibition dedicated to the history of the company’s development and formation, as well as the employees who actively participated in it, was organized for the guests and participants of the solemn meeting in the lobby. Everyone could get acquainted with archival materials, photographs and publications that have become iconic for the House of Printing. This created an atmosphere of sharing experiences and inspiration for all participants.
There were also creative performances. The administration of the enterprise, together with the trade union committee, prepared a small concert program for the staff, which was attended by both employees and invited artists, which created a festive mood and allowed everyone present to escape from everyday worries.
Thus, Press Day at the Belarusian House of Printing has become not only a celebration of professionals in their field, but also an opportunity to strengthen team spirit, share experiences and discuss topical issues of the country’s printing industry. The labor collective has demonstrated its unity and readiness for new challenges in the world of printing.
