NEW YEAR’S ADDRESS BY THE PRESIDENT OF BELARUS ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO TO THE BELARUSIAN PEOPLE

Dear compatriots!

Guests of Belarus!

In a few moments we will step into the new year, 2024.

But in our minds we already picture his appearance. The shape of our future.

As we see off the Year of Peace and Creation, we wish that the next one will be just as peaceful for all of us, for Belarus. Peaceful for our neighbors, and for all people. And, of course, we want the best to multiply.

There is no peace without creation and no creation without peace.

Tomorrow we want to see how loving couples become families, to congratulate parents on the birth of babies, to be happy for friends and relatives who have grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

It is important for us to be healthy, to see how children happily go to kindergartens and schools, and yesterday’s students become real professionals.

It is important to know that our elderly and those in need of special care are surrounded by care and attention.

Therefore, thanks to everyone who devotes themselves without reserve to the most difficult work – working with people, day after day justifying the trust of millions of their compatriots.

This is our path – the path of creation, the life-long road along which we walk day after day.

We want the apartments and houses to be cozy and warm in the new year, there will be tasty and healthy food on the tables, and outside the window there will always be a view of well-groomed peaceful streets, playgrounds and green parks.

We want to see how our cities develop, and how life in the outback becomes more comfortable and modern.

Thank you, workers! To everyone who every year literally snatches the harvest from the captivity of bad weather, feeds us, clothes us and produces goods in demand on world markets, develops science, technology, designs and builds.

Last year they tried to bring us to our knees, to strangle us economically… But we didn’t just survive, we developed comprehensively, moving towards our goal!

And we can do even more, knowing that we live behind the reliable backs of everyone who faithfully serves and loves the Motherland.

Because there is no stronger incentive for development than confidence in the future and confidence in the safety of the people.

People in uniform, thank you for peace!

Dear compatriots!

2024 is coming – the Year of Quality. A quality that has long become a lifestyle of Belarusians, a national trait, and will now become a symbol of all endeavors.

The good tradition of assigning a badge of honor to the best producers of goods and services will return to our lives. Its first owners will go down in the history of independent Belarus.

In the political field of the country, the ancient Slavic tradition of democracy will be revived in a new status. For the first time, the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly will begin its work as a constitutional body. Thus, we will create the foundation of the Belarusian national statehood. On a single voting day we will elect Parliament and deputies of the Soviets. 2024 is the year of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.

For us, no date is more important. Celebrating the anniversary at the proper level, so that the memory of the heroes of that time lives forever, is a matter of honor and a guarantee of peace in the future.

Soon these and many other events will quickly burst into the history of the country.

We will continue to create, preserving and enriching cultural heritage with our creativity and talent, defending national interests, preserving ancestral traditions and values. We will do everything to make our country even more beautiful, comfortable and stronger.

This is our house. For everyone, it begins from their own doorstep and beloved family, and for everyone together, for a single nation, it becomes an indestructible fortress.

Dear Belarusians!

On New Year’s Eve, first of all, I wish you to celebrate the coming year 2024 with a heartfelt and festive brightness.

To everyone who works while the country celebrates – a good New Year’s mood.

I wish our war and labor veterans strength and good health in the coming year, all our children a happy childhood, and our youth a bright youth.

Let now and always the soft glow of the windows, where family members gathered and friends met around laid tables, envelop the Belarusian holy land.

May all our wildest dreams and desires come true in the name of peace and life.

Be happy!

Happy New Year!

A.G. Lukashenko,

President of the Republic of Belarus
