Cinema was and remains “the most important of the arts”: neither time, nor the change of historical eras, nor creative or economic crises could refute the validity of this statement. Everyone loves cinema! Therefore, it is not surprising that the celebration of the anniversary of national cinema, the calendar date of which is December 27, 2024, has already begun in Belarus, and neither filmmakers nor viewers will remain aloof from it.
The Department of Culture of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee came up with an interesting socially significant initiative: in the regional center and the Mogilev region it is planned to carry out the project “Dedicated to the Art of Cinema”, addressed to all interested residents of Mogilev and the region, primarily to the student youth of the region.
The Main Directorate for Education of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee, the Main Directorate of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee, Unitary Enterprise National Film Studio “Belarusfilm”, Republican Unitary Enterprise Publishing House “Belarusian House of Printing”, Republican Unitary Enterprise RTC “TV and Radio Company “Mogilev”, Mogilevskoye” will take part in the organization of the project and its coordination. state enterprise “Kinovideoprokat”.
This large-scale cultural project is carried out with the aim of popularizing Belarusian cinema, introducing people to the cultural heritage of our country, creating a sense of national pride, preserving the historical memory of the events of the Great Patriotic War, creating opportunities for self-realization and manifestation of the creative potential of young people.
The project “Dedicated to the Art of Cinema” provides for a number of competitions focused on the creative, creative perception of cinema.
Participants in the KinoDubl photography competition are invited to select a frame from the film and repeat it, conveying the atmosphere of the frame – the interior, composition and other details of the film frame. Those who are interested in the drawing competition “My Movie Poster” will have to create an original movie poster for any film. Participants are given complete freedom in choosing equipment, the main thing is to show imagination and, of course, talent.
The music competition “ Film Soundtrack” invites everyone who dreams of writing music for cinema to participate, and the essay competition “My Review of the Film” will allow you to try your hand at film criticism and film studies. There is an opportunity to show off in the most complex art of advertising in the Internet space: for this, the “Cinema Through the Eyes of a Blogger” competition has been announced. Most likely, the collective viewing competition “MOVIE Fans” will be of great interest to participants.
The winners of the project competitions will be determined by an authoritative jury. They will receive worthy awards, including honorary diplomas, excursion trips to the National Film Studio “Belarusfilm”, publications in the magazine “On the Screens” and other equally honorable and inspiring rewards. The awarding of the winners of the regional stage of the Project will take place at a gala event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Belarusian cinema in December 2024 at the Rodina cinema in Mogilev.
