Spring is already on the way, and nothing prevented our team from celebrating the traditional Carnival in a fun and grand way. This year, the festival was held on the picturesque shore of Lake Naroch, in the cozy village of Nanosy, where nature has created an ideal atmosphere for ancient folk amusements, fun games and round dances.
The celebration began in the morning, when the staff of the House of Printing and their families gathered in a cozy place in the Drifts. There was fresh air, an ice–bound lake, and a soft sun that seemed to emphasize the approach of spring.
Tables with homemade treats, hot pancakes and fragrant tea were prepared in the central part of the Nanosy-Housewarming ethnocultural complex. The whole day was spent under the slogan “Spring is coming – it’s time to say goodbye to winter!”.
The main part of the event was a bright Carnival fair with traditional amusements: contests for strength and dexterity, soulful songs, folk dances and round dances, tasting of hot pancakes and an equestrian show.
A special place was occupied by the burning of Maslenitsa, a symbol of farewell to winter and the meeting of warmth and sun. The weather favourably played along with us, and the bright bonfire show was held with applause and good wishes.
The holiday in Nanos became a great opportunity for colleagues and their families to spend time together, get to know the real museum of Belarusian culture better, where history comes to life before our eyes, and also recharge with positivity. Sincere joy and anticipation of the coming spring were felt in every smile and every song performed.
Maslenitsa in the Drifts on the shore of Naroch was bright, warm and sincere. The staff of the Press House thanks the trade union committee of the enterprise, which made this day unforgettable, filling it with traditions, laughter and good mood. May this holiday inspire us to new achievements and bring many sunny moments to our lives!
