LIFE OF THE PRINTING HOUSE STAFF. UNFORGETTABLE PETERSBURG

The staff of the Printing House spent three wonderful days in the beautiful city of St. Petersburg.

The cultural capital of Russia, the Venice of the north, the brainchild of Peter – this is how St. Petersburg is often called, the second largest city in vast Russia with a population of 4.8 million people. Few cities in the world can compare with this indicator, as well as with the number of attractions, museum collections, opera and drama theaters, estates and palaces, parks and monuments. Along with Paris, Rome and Venice, St. Petersburg is included in the UNESCO List as a city in which the entire historical center is under patronage. There are also temples and confessions, including an amazing mosque with a porcelain dome, the only Buddhist monastery in Europe and one of the most beautiful chapels of the Order of Malta. And St. Petersburg is a “city of bridges.” 68 rivers, canals and channels cross the city in different directions, forming 42 islands on its territory. Now in St. Petersburg and its suburbs there are 580 bridges, including 20 drawbridges. And June is a great time to travel to the city, which is surrounded by flowers and greenery. When you first come to St. Petersburg, you want to see its most important attractions as quickly as possible, and they are here at every step.

The busy tour program included: a bus tour of the city “Portrait of a Great City”; visit to the Kazan Cathedral; Peter and Paul Fortress; Lower Park of Peterhof with its unforgettable fountains, alleys, cascades, stairs and architectural buildings; Kronstadt and its Naval Cathedral and the “Island of Forts” park; Tsarskoe Selo with its magnificent Catherine Palace and park.

A memorable walk along the rivers and canals of St. Petersburg, where employees of the Printing House were able to admire the architecture and buildings of St. Petersburg, seeing the city from the inside and much more.

The most indelible impression was made by the alumni holiday – Scarlet Sails. His grandiose musical and light-pyrotechnic show, on the whitest St. Petersburg night, when the bridges and embankments of the Northern capital become a luxurious open-air stage for hundreds of thousands of spectators. And the culmination of Scarlet Sails in the midst of the white nights with the passage of a sailboat along the Neva under a bright scattering of fireworks did not leave anyone indifferent and returned for a moment to a carefree childhood, Alexander Green’s extravaganza story about unshakable faith and an all-conquering and sublime dream.

In addition, the trip coincided with the Day of National Remembrance of the victims of the Great Patriotic War and the genocide of the Belarusian people. Despite all the splendor of the city now, during the Great Patriotic War the city suffered greatly. He was cut off from the country for almost 900 days. It took many years to restore the city and make St. Petersburg today one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

The workforce thanks the management and trade union committee of the Printing House for the opportunity to see with their own eyes this amazingly beautiful cultural, industrial and educational center. Touch the beautiful, learn a lot of new and interesting things, get indescribable emotions, maximum aesthetic pleasure from traveling and communicating with each other, and also recharge your energy for new achievements.
