ФОТО 5THE LABOR COLLECTIVE OF THE HOUSE OF PRESS ATTENDED THE REQUIEM CONCERT “EVERY THIRD”

The requiem concert “Every Third” in memory of all those who died during the Great Patriotic War and dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory was held at the Palace of the Republic on April 8 for residents of Minsk. Residents of all regions of Belarus will be able to see a series of screenings of this performance. The Requiem concert is a story about the fate of ordinary people, a synthesis of new songs about war and Victory and unique chronicle footage and historical facts.

The first part of the concert presents data on the settlements of Belarus that were forever lost during the war, about the Heroes of the Soviet Union who were born or died on the territory of Belarus, the topic of genocide of civilians is raised, maps of destroyed villages and concentration camps updated with new data are presented. The audience was able to see rare footage of the chronicle, photographic documents related to different periods of the war and the post-war period. The main theme of the second part of the concert is the responsibility of contemporaries to preserve historical memory and traditions.

In the foyer of the Palace of the Republic, the audience was presented with a number of thematic exhibition projects – the photo exhibition “Fates folded into a triangle”, the exhibition “Exploits and fates of the partisans in documents”, the exhibition “Genocide: documents and eyewitnesses testify”, the exhibition “Bread is the invisible force of Victory”, the project of reviving paintings “For the Zen offensive”.

It is planned that more than 15 thousand people from all regions of Belarus will attend the requiem concert.
