Last weekend, the primary trade union organization of the Belarusian Press House held annual fishing competitions among the company’s employees on a reservoir near the village of Sopkovshchyna in the Stolbtsovsky district. The organizers of the competition had certain tasks. These are the formation and upbringing of a careful attitude to nature and a healthy lifestyle, the popularization of active recreation of union members in their free time with the strengthening of ties between union members, the identification of the strongest and the improvement of fishing skills among participants.
For fishing enthusiasts, the competitions have become a real holiday, which allowed not only to determine the strongest, but also to share fishing experience. For the participants of the competition, it’s not even about the fish that you can buy in the store, the main thing is participation, team spirit, unity and cohesion of the team, just to spend time with colleagues in an informal atmosphere in the fresh air.
The fishing competitions included 2 stages. The first stage is morning fishing (from 6.00 to 9.00). The second stage was in the evening (from 18.00 to 21.00). At the end of each stage, the catch was weighed.
According to the results of two weigh-ins, the prizes were distributed as follows:
3rd place – Kalinin Viktor Yulievich (loader of the newspaper shop) – 1,239 kg;
2nd place – Alexander Alexandrovich Zayats (machinist of offset cutting machines) – 2,039 kg;
1st place – Viktor Borisovich Saikovsky (printer of flat printing of the newspaper shop) – 2,078 kg.
In total, the total weight of the catch of 13 participants in the fishing competitions of the House of Printing was slightly more than 8.5 kg.
