Alexander Lukashenko wins the presidential election of the Republic of Belarus, gaining 5,136,293 votes

This was announced at the Information Center by CEC Chairman Igor Karpenko on January 27.

For candidates in The following number of votes were cast for the Presidents of Belarus:

• Oleg Gaidukevich — 119 272, or 2.02 %;
• Anna Kanopatskaya — 109 760, or 1.86 %;
• Alexander Lukashenko — 5 136 293, or 86.82 %;
• Sergey Syrankov — 189 740, or 3.21 %;
• Alexander Khizhnyak — 102 789, or 1.74 %.

213 277 voters, or 3.60%, voted against all candidates.
