An action called “Belarus against Tobacco” is taking place in Minsk from May 11 to June 5 under the name “Belarus against Tobacco”. This initiative is aimed at raising public awareness about the dangers of smoking and nicotine, as well as supporting a healthy lifestyle.
The objectives of the campaign “Belarus against Tobacco” are:
– assessment of the causes and factors influencing tobacco smoking;
– activation of anti-smoking preventive work;
– reducing the prevalence of smoking among the population of our country;
– increasing the level of public knowledge about the negative consequences caused by tobacco consumption not only for the health of citizens, but also for the national economy;
– formation of public understanding of the need to support measures aimed at combating tobacco use.
Smoking remains one of the main causes of morbidity and mortality in the world. Every year, millions of people become victims of tobacco-related diseases. The campaign “Belarus against Tobacco” is designed to remind citizens of how important it is to take care of their health and the health of others.
Experts in the field of preventive medicine and public health will hold a series of events, including lectures, seminars and consultations. They will share information about the dangers of nicotine, talk about methods to combat tobacco addiction, and offer alternative solutions for those who want to quit smoking. Participants of the campaign will be able to receive support and advice on quitting smoking, as well as learn about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
It is important to note that quitting smoking not only improves the health of the smoker himself, but also creates a safer and healthier environment for others. Second—hand smoke poses a serious danger to children and non-smokers, so the fight against smoking is a concern for the future of our society.
We invite everyone to take part in the campaign “Belarus against tobacco”. Let’s take a step towards a healthy future together and show that smoking is not fashionable! Remember, your health is in your hands.
