Dear compatriots and guests of Belarus!
Midnight is approaching. These are the moments when we watch the hands of the clock with trepidation and it seems that time is flying. And there is so much to do: to thank the outgoing year for all the good things, to look into the future, to make wishes.
On New Year’s Eve, we meet at the same table with family, friends, and friends to say kind words to each other and thank each other for our good deeds.
And on New Year’s Eve, this tradition comes to the Palace of Independence. I am very pleased to wish you, dear Belarusians, a Happy New Year and convey my most sincere wishes to all corners of our country.
Thank you for the best moments of the past year. For the joy of seeing you create families and become parents. How they waited for their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. How the kids went to the first grade, and the graduates opened the door to adulthood, continuing the history of the family and the country.
Of course, not everything was always as it was dreamed of. But life is like music. It sounds in different notes, in different keys. And we should always set ourselves up for the best by helping each other.
Thank you for being with those who needed support in difficult times. To the New Year’s holiday that you are giving these days to our children, single people and the elderly.
I bow low to all those who devote themselves to working with people: treating, teaching, educating.
Our successes and achievements were for the benefit of the Motherland.
Belarusian peasants have assembled a good loaf, enough to share with friends and neighbors. We were pleased with the new products from domestic manufacturers.
And our native Belarus has become even more cozy and comfortable. It was you who did it – all those who design, build, and brighten our lives with your creativity. The beauty and cleanliness that so delight our visiting guests is our image success, our calling card. And this is your merit.
We may not always think about the value of what has become the norm, but we know for sure that we choose our own way forward.
Thank you for your political wisdom. We conducted a single voting day with dignity. Just as calmly, without prompting or advice, the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly was formed. This is a historic step, the effect of which is yet to be seen in action.
Another milestone in the country’s history was the flight of the first cosmonaut of sovereign Belarus.
Such bright events formed the image of the outgoing year, which was creative and interesting. We walked confidently towards our dreams and goals, but most importantly – under a clear sky.
For peace and our safety, thank you to the people in uniform and their families, who provide a reliable rear for our defenders.
Every year these words sound stronger and more relevant, and their meaning becomes more significant. As well as the grateful memory of the heroic generation of the Great Patriotic War.
In the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, it is a matter of honor for us, the heirs of the victors, to preserve the world bequeathed to us.
Dear Belarusians!
So 2024 becomes history. Ours and yours. It is made up of hundreds of thousands of memories, but the plot is always the same: sad events go back to the past, happy ones lead to the future.
We know that everything we achieved in 2024 will be continued in the coming 2025.
Our path is continuity.
The generational change will be completed in the coming years. It’s wise in Belarus to rely on everything we value and are proud of.
The next five-year plan in our country will be a five-year quality plan. We will devote each year to one of the most important areas.
Let’s start with the Year of Improvement of the country. The goal of improving our Belarus will be to improve the quality of people’s lives.
Very soon we will have to choose the future of the state. We all want it to be successful and happy. And definitely peaceful!
So that our relatives and friends are healthy, so that we are surrounded by reliable friends, kind and helpful people.
It’s time to make wishes, and let everything come true. May our native Belarus, strong and independent, always be a united family and a home for everyone.
I am proud of you and happy to be the executor of your will! I wish you happiness and kindness!
Happy New Year, Belarusians!
Happy New Year to our friends and all the good people!
I wish you peace and tranquility!
Alexander Lukashenko,
President of the Republic of Belarus
