The Week of Parental Love is taking place in Belarus for the second time. It began on October 14 on Mother’s Day and ends today on Father’s Day, which has taken its rightful place in the calendar.
The initiative to establish Father’s Day was voiced during the address of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko with a message to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly on January 28, 2022. Alexander Lukashenko replied that he would study this proposal and in particular said: “Women’s Day, Mother’s Day – we, men, run here, jump, bend over backwards, try to please you.” And when you try to please us, I honestly don’t even know.
And so, by Presidential Decree of June 9, 2022, a new holiday, Father’s Day, was established.
Father is not just a word. It has so many childish feelings. For a boy, dad is a role model, because he is strong and brave, a jack of all trades. He will tell you everything: how to hammer a nail, how to make peace with a friend and how to stand up for yourself. For a girl, dad is her pride. Every little princess dreams of meeting her prince, who will be like his father. Being a good father is the most responsible and necessary job in a man’s life. Become an example for your son and a good wizard for your daughter. To teach, tell, protect, explain and do all this with love and patience – only a dad can do this. We congratulate worthy fathers, we are proud of them and wish them happiness and health, to always remain as strong and strong, to be heroes for their children and a real example of wisdom, confidence, courage and honor, and also to always remain a reliable support for their entire family.
This holiday undoubtedly helps strengthen family values, reminding us of the importance of the father’s role in the family and social responsibility in the upbringing and development of the younger generation.
