Topic: “TRADITIONAL VALUES OF BELARUSIANS: FAMILY, SOCIETY, STATE”

Have we ever wondered what constitutes the basis for the sustainable development of any state in modern conditions? The first thing that comes to mind is a strong economy, the availability of natural resources, a high level of education, and the development of digital technologies. But it is equally important to preserve and enhance traditional family values. A strong family is the foundation of a country’s demographic well–being and stability.

Protecting the traditional family and countering the erosion and distortion of family values (especially among young people) are becoming important tasks to ensure not only demographic, but also national security in general. These tasks cannot be solved solely by the state. An active position of the society itself is necessary: families, labor collectives, public associations, and religious organizations.

The family is the primary source of national security. Here, a responsible attitude towards work, property, the law and the individual is formed.

The link between the well–being of one family and the stability of an entire nation is built on simple and indisputable laws of social development – the demographic foundation of the state is formed by people.

By strengthening the family and protecting its economic and spiritual interests, the state invests in its most important resource, the human being.

“In order to stand firmly on our land, there must be more of us, Belarusians, much more. This is the most important condition of sovereignty. And the state is doing a lot to ensure this condition,” President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stressed in one of his speeches with a message to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly.

But a true attitude towards the family is laid only in society, and therefore in each of us. By taking personal responsibility for our loved ones, we form a family as a true traditional value, thereby strengthening Belarus as a state.
