In the new version of the Directive, taking into account modern risks and challenges, approaches to strengthening public safety have been improved, and new mechanisms for maintaining it have been proposed, including in a virtual environment.
The decree regulates the priority areas of activity of state bodies in the interests of creating additional conditions for improving the culture of safety of the population, developing the necessary skills for socially responsible behavior of citizens and a favorable social environment, as well as for the harmonious development of the individual.
Among the priorities are the protection of public order, ensuring information security, countering extremism, drug trafficking, and monitoring external migration processes. These areas also include the protection of the population and territories from emergencies and civil defense, road safety, environmental safety, sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population and occupational safety.
As before, the Government, the regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee will organize and coordinate activities to implement the Directive by subordinate government agencies and organizations. At the same time, further control over its execution will be carried out by the prosecutor’s office.
