What do I need to participate in?
By April 15, 2026, get acquainted with the procedure for holding the Young Patriots competition (below), submit a ready-made drawing or essay to the ideological work sector and fill out an application for participation in the competition on the spot.
About the order of the “Young Patriots” contest
GENERAL PROVISIONS
1. The organizer of the contest is the republican unitary enterprise National Exhibition Center BelExpo (hereinafter referred to as the organizer) in cooperation with the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
2. The competition is held for the purpose of educating and strengthening patriotism among the children of employees of the organizations of the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as subordinate organizations), stimulating and supporting their creativity.
3. Children of employees of subordinate organizations aged from 10 to 14 years old (hereinafter referred to as the participants of the competition) take part in the competition.
THE ORDER OF ORGANIZATION AND CONDUCT OF THE COMPETITION
4. The competition will be held in April 2026 in two stages:
the first stage (submission of applications) – from April 1 to April 22, 2026;
the second stage (work of the competition commission) – from April 23 to April 29, 2026.
5. The competition work is evaluated by the members of the competition commission in accordance with the nomination according to the following criteria:
compliance with the requirements defined below;
the depth of the topic;
the originality of the idea.
6. The evaluation of competitive works is carried out by each member of the competition commission according to a ten-point system.
The 55 best entries in two nominations are determined at the meeting of the competition committee.
With an equal number of points, the winners are determined by an open vote of the members of the competition committee.
The decision of the competition commission is considered accepted if at least half of the members of the competition commission voted for it.
The competition committee may make recommendations to the organizer on awarding the authors of the best works.
The selection of the authors of the best competitive works must be completed by the competition commission no later than April 30, 2026.
7. The organizer of the contest reserves the right to replicate, reproduce and demonstrate the contest works without paying royalties, but indicating the authorship of the contest work.
The contest participants are personally responsible for the content and copyrights of the submitted entries.
In case of publication or display of the submitted competitive works at the exhibition, the organizer is not responsible for claims or complaints from persons appearing in these competitive works.
8. Participation in the competition is free of charge.
9. The results of the competition are subject to publication in open Internet sources.
10. The prize for the authors of the best competitive works is a voucher for rehabilitation at the state institution sanatorium ”Belaya Rus“ of the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus (Tuapse Municipal District, village of Maisky) in the direction of ”sports and patriotic shift“ from June 13 to July 3, 2026, including accommodation and meals in the sanatorium, travel by rail in both directions, medical insurance, provision of meals en route, payment of income tax, expenses for the organization of escort, or other valuable prize.
11. The financing of the events for the competition, including the awarding of prizes and diplomas, is carried out by the organizer from sources not prohibited by law.
TERMS OF THE COMPETITION
12. The competition is held in the following categories::
”The best drawing“;
”The best essay.“
13. Drawings drawn on A4 or A3 sheets are accepted for participation in the competition in the ”Best Drawing“ nomination.
Drawings drawn by with the help of computer programs.
The main requirement for the drawing is to have an image that reflects such topics as the peaceful life of Belarusians, the participation of children in patriotic actions and public holidays, traditional family values, the connection of generations, architectural and natural attractions of Belarus.
14. For participation in the competition in the nomination ”The best composition“, compositions written by hand or using communication and other technical means are accepted in Belarusian or Russian. When using technical means to print an essay, the font size must be at least 15 pt. Handwritten essays should be written in a clear, legible handwriting. The size of the essay should not exceed 3 A4 pages.
Borrowed essays are not allowed to participate in the competition. All submitted essays are checked by the organizer for plagiarism using available means of the global computer network Internet before being handed over to the secretary of the competition committee.
The main requirement for the essay is to disclose such topics as ”little Motherland“, culture of Belarusians, historical memory, the connection of generations, the importance of preserving the architectural and natural attractions of Belarus, modern achievements, and the choice of a future profession.
At the end of the essay, the author needs to answer the question ”Why am I a patriot of Belarus?“.
15. One child can participate in the contest in one nomination.
16. The contest does not accept works containing images or information, the dissemination of which is prohibited by law, or in respect of which legislation establishes a different application, profanity or offensive statements or images.
