2022 – WE ARE 105 YEARS OLD

The history of the Belarusian Press House is inextricably linked with the history of the development and formation of the state.

The enterprise was created by Order of the Council of People’s Commissars of the Western Region for the Commissariat of Internal Affairs of Minsk dated December 19, 1917 No. 12. At different stages of its biography, the enterprise was called differently: Minsk Provincial Printing House, Printing House of the Council of People’s Commissars of the Western Region and the Front, 1- I Soviet Printing House, Printing House named after I.V. Stalin, Printing House of the Zvyazda Publishing House, Publishing House of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus. On the basis of Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated August 4, 1994 No. 19 “On the creation of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus,” the Enterprise was transferred to the jurisdiction of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

The property of the Enterprise is owned by the Republic of Belarus and belongs to it under the right of economic management. The company operates in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, decisions of the Founder and the Charter.

Consolidation of provincial and small printing houses into the 1st Soviet Printing House

A vocational school was opened to train printing workers

1921

A new rotary press with a capacity of 5 thousand prints per hour was launched, which made it possible to publish the Zvyazda newspaper, which at that time had a circulation of 12–14 thousand copies.

1924

There were new fonts, three Linotype typesetting machines, a folding cutter and sewing machines

1925

There were typesetting, bookbinding, printing, stereotyping and ruling shops. 9 newspapers were published with a total circulation of more than 104 thousand copies.

The newspaper “Zvyazda” is published – the organ of the Minsk underground city committee of the Communist Party of Belarus (Bolsheviks)

The 31st issue of the Zvyazda newspaper has been published. “Chyrvonaya Zmena” and “Soviet Belarus” began to be published

1944

The magazine “Vozhyk” was transferred to the offset production method. The editorial corps became operational

The first issue of the magazine “On the Screens” was founded and published

The printing house was renamed into the printing house of the publishing house of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus.

1969

The printing house was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor

One of the first in the Soviet Union to master the offset method of newspaper printing

The printing house was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Supreme Council of the BSSR

1977

33 central and republican newspapers were published with a one-time circulation of over 5 million copies, 36 magazines with a monthly circulation of 6 million copies, 19 million copies. hardback books per year

1988

Our own newspaper “Express Advertising” begins to be published

1991

A new editorial building was put into operation. New publishing and editorial complexes are being introduced into production

1993

The Ministry of Internal Affairs received the first batch (20 thousand copies) of new passport forms

1994

The production of desk calendars has been mastered, technologies for tear-off calendars and books with a thin thread-stitched spine in a hard cover have been developed. For the first time in Belarus, such a type of product as postage stamps was also introduced. The first issues were produced on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the Victory

1995

The production of newspaper products in 4 colors on the basis of the 4-color role-playing machine “GOSS-HV” has been mastered.

1996

The BJP collaborated with 135 publishing houses (9 of them were state-owned)

1997

1,491,000 passport forms, 240,000 military ID forms, 651,000 ink impressions of securities forms, 49,344,000 postage stamps were produced

1998

The OGM service modernized two Rondoset newspaper units, as a result of which it became possible to produce full-color newspaper products

2000

80 magazines were published periodically. The publishing house’s services were used by 178 newspaper editorial offices. 23,241.2 thousand copies were issued. various books. Ensured timely and high-quality release of printed materials for the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus

2001

Subordinate to the publishing house is the Minsk Printing House, which specializes in the production of cardboard packaging. A sheet-fed offset printing machine “MAN Roland 704SPE” was purchased

2003

The “Tensor-1400” tower-type offset web press for printing color newspapers was put into operation

2004

For the first time in the Republic of Belarus, “Computer-to-Plate” technology was introduced for direct exposure of printed offset forms

2005

Another Tensor-400 BE offset roll printing machine was installed and put into production, which made it possible to print not only newspapers, but also magazine and advertising products on coated papers using the “hit-set” technology. A new generation printing machine “Uniset-75” was installed

2006

For the first time in the Republic of Belarus, the technology of role-play multicolor printing on coated papers using gas drying (“hit-set” technology) was introduced. The technology for producing a 16-page booklet, glued along the spine and trimmed on three sides directly in a printing machine, has been introduced. The magazine “On the Screens” celebrated its anniversary – the 50th anniversary of the publication of the first issue. The Belarusian Press House celebrated its 90th anniversary!

2007

A new 5-color sheet-fed offset machine “ROLAND-705 HiPrint” was installed and promptly put into operation in the offset shop.

2008

The Belarusian Printing House has begun to develop and manufacture a variety of packaging from cardboard and micro-corrugated cardboard for consumer goods

2009

The production of products using fabric printing technology has begun. For this purpose, a new set of equipment for printing on fabric, which has no analogues in Belarus, was purchased, installed and put into operation. It consists of a high-performance sublimation plotter (printer) “Mimaki JV5-320DS” with a maximum printing width on fabric of 3.2 m and a large-format calender heat press “TitanJet GTX-132”

2010

Start of flexographic printing on cardboard packaging and flexible materials (installation of a new flexo printing and finishing line)

2011

he production of a new service has been mastered – the production of paper bags

2013

The Belarusian Printing House installed a new 6-color printing machine “ROLAND 706” with a varnishing section. This latest high speed machine is designed for commercial printing and packaging applications

2016

A flatbed UV printer “Roland LEF-20” of the “VersaUV” series has been installed. The Belarusian Press House celebrated its 100th anniversary!

2017

The production of biometric documents has begun at the special production facility of our enterprise. The first batch was shipped by order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

2021

The Belarusian House of Printing is 105 years old!
